Scenes from the Bushnell

Fahrenheit 451 Closes Out The BushnellÂ’s 08-09 Literature to Life Series

A professionally staged live adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s classic novel.

Hartford, CT – March 16, 2009 – On Monday, May 4th at 7:00 p.m., The Bushnell, in collaboration with New York City’s American Place Theatre, will present a live theatrical adaption of Ray Bradbury’s classic novel, Fahrenheit 451 in Autorino Great Hall.  The themes of censorship and civil rights still ring true today, nearly 60 years after the book’s first publication.  Set in a futuristic American city where literature is believed to be dangerous, fireman Guy Montag’s job is to burn books. Fahrenheit 451 is part of The Bushnell’s Literature to Life series, sponsored by SBM Charitable Foundation, Inc.

Tickets for Fahrenheit 451 are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting The Bushnell Box Office at 166 Capitol Avenue in Hartford or by calling (860) 987-5900. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.bushnell.org. Groups of 10 or more should call (860) 987-5959.  Tickets are $30.00.
