Hartford, CT – May 5, 2008 – Ha! Ha! Hartford closes out its 07-08 season with some wildly funny ladies you won’t want to miss. Join host 96.5 TIC’s Damon Scott at The Bushnell’s final Ha! Ha! Hartford! of the season on May 16, 2008 at 8:30 pm in Belding Theater. The evening will feature the comedic talents of Maureen Langan, Michele Balan, and Shelia Kay. The Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Hartford host Damon Scott is also host of 96.5 TIC-FM’s weekday afternoon show “The Damon Scott Show with Jeannine Jersey.” He's been in broadcasting for over 18 years. Damon is a regular contributor to the Satellite Comedy Network and operates his own production company producing commercials and imagery for stations all around the country.
Maureen Langan is co-host of Greenstone Media’s “Radio Ritas” talk show. She performs at the Tropicana in Atlantic City and Las Vegas, Caroline's on Broadway, The Comic Strip, and the esteemed NY Friars Club. Maureen was also a winner of the Bud Lite Ladies of Laughter Funniest Women Contest and has appeared on TV’S Comic’s Unleashed With Byron Allen and is a reoccurring correspondent on Dan Abrams on Court TV. Maureen often tours with Joy Behar as her opening act. Her stand-up is perky, with great energy, and leaves you with a gusto of laughs. Her material touches on her Irish heritage and the stereotypes associated with being Irish, marriage and, relationships. Michele Balan launched into the national comedy spotlight as a finalist and 4th place fininsher in Season 6 on NBC'S long running comedy series Last Comic Standing. She's witty and articulate, and as soon as she opens her mouth you know she's from the Big Apple. Big attitude and all. She's clever and her material always seems to be evolving. Backstage Magazine called her "One of the Top Ten Stand-ups. " She has appearaed in the famed Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and has also appeared on Comedy Central. Shelia Kay is a comedy veteran of over twenty years. She recently relocated from LA to the sunny confines of New Jersey. What exit do you say? Exit stage FUNNY! She’ s a one women laugh riot. She has twice been nominated for an American Comedy Award for Funniest Female in a Club. Sheila has appeared on a comedy special for the Playboy Channel along with numerous appearances on A&E, HBO’s Not Necessarily the News, Girl’s Night Out on Lifetime (twice), Showtime and FOX TV. She’s regular in Atlantic City and Las Vegas and has also appeared on NBC TV’S Providence. Sheila’s material touches on topics ranging from sex, to dieting, to life in general.
